My Story

 Hi, I made a story about a Knight and a guy called Joe and Jeff an evil mastermind who wanted to nuke a town to turn it into a wasteland. I enjoyed writing it because I made a random thing every time because it was my story and I chose what happened. Here is the story.

Fun Run

Hi, on Wednesday we did the Fun Run. It was cool because we got covered in colored powder and water. We had to bring a white shirt so our uniform didn't get covered in colors. I enjoyed it because of the powder,  you could walk it some, Wraith and Reece got most of the powder on us slowly. When Me, Wraith, and Reece were done we were covered in colors. We had to walk over to Kyle park to do it. Would you want to do it?    

Freeze ball tag

Hi, Today for hurumanu 6 we had to make a game for the class and me and Ahron decided to make a game called Freeze ball tag. The first thing we had to do was make a doc with the rules, items, and the goal. The game is simple all you do is if you get hit you freeze and when a player on your team tags you when you are frozen you can move again. If you had to make a game what would it be?

Bullys

 Hi, Today we were reading about bullies and why they bully people. Some bullies just want to be your friend but they think that you don't want to be friends with them so they try to ruin their chances with you being their friends so some of the time they just want to be your friends.

Labor Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A guy in the olden days refused to work more than 8 hours a day and that's how labor day was made here is the slide that I worked on.

What will I do on labor day, I will probably have it like a normal weekend so just chill and home.

Market day

Hello, yesterday was our school's market day and it was tiring because we had to stand all day waiting and then we made a sale then we waited but then when we sold off our items were done. My group made stress balls using flour and balloons. We have $20 to buy the ingredients we needed to make our stress balls, it only cost $13 all up. Once we were finished making our stress balls using the ingredients we had bought, we had to make a huge poster to attract customers to come and buy our product. Around an hour of selling our product, we had already sold half of the box of stress balls. But shortly after that people would come and buy our stress balls every so often. We weren’t selling quick but we were making quite a lot of money since we made the stress balls $2 each. We were in a group of 3, while most people had 4. It wasn’t that hard, it just meant that someone had to be the Finance Manager and Advertiser at the same time. It was a really hot day on the day we had to sell our products. Well, that’s what we did yesterday! I hope you enjoyed what we had to tell! Byeee!

P.E and maths

 

I liked being in a smaller group because there were less people but I knew some of them. Like how most of my friends from my class are in the class witch was cool. I enjoyed some of the P.E things because it was more fun. I dident really see the links to math because some of it was stuff to do with P.E and some not. 

Oven #Not clickbait uwu

Hello In sionce we made ovens to cook marshmallows and cookies. The equiment we used was skewers, cardboard,uwu,tin foil and tape. The marshmallows cooked because of the sun the tin foil bounced the sun to cook the marsh mallows and cookies.

Tongan language week!!

  Hello this week is Tongan language week and we have to make something to share to teach about Tongan language. I made a google drawing about Tonga I have hello,bye,thank you,yes,no. I also made a flag for my DLO.

 

Reflection on p.e Hurumanu 5

 Hello today I'm writing a reflection on p.e because we are about to finish our p.e classes for the term. We have been working on a lot of things that I dident know about like perimeter and area and pulse rate and other things like that. My favorite thing to do was area and perimeter because it wasent that hard but it was fun. I also enjoyed one time when we did the beep test because I got 10.7 because I beat my high score. 

Have any of you guys know how to find area and perimeter? I think my next steps are to be able to find out area and piremiter faster.

Horrible History!!!

 Hello,bloggers Today for reading for growth mindset I read an artical about the destruction of public statutes because they have had nothing to do with the history of NZ or the bad stuff about NZ. For example a George Eden was taken down because he had never even been to NZ. Most of the other statues had had their noses smashed off and some had been decapitated. There was the statue of King George V who had been decapitated V times in a row. :D

Parihaka

 Hello,blogger this week we learnt about parihaka and it was crazy because we had learnt about how the British tried to take the land of the parihakas witch were peaceful people. Then we had to make something about it and I made a kahoot but I don't know how to make it so anyone can see it so yeah. I made it with 10 Questions so it was long but not super long and it has all the things we were learning about in parihaka.

 Sotra, Hello bloggers today we used a sphero and when I first saw it I diddent know what it as and then I used it and loved it. The first thing we did was drew some obsitcals the cut it out then we drove the sphero. I really enjoy it but the thing is  we made ours a girl and at the start we lost it. It was fun. A Shero is a ball device that you controle by a app!!!

Hello,bloggers today we learnt about constellations and then we had to draw some constellations and then we draw stars on it and then it was done. I liked it because we go to chose the  constellations from a website witch was cool because I draw mars and then a lot of stars.

gold rush

Hello,bloggers Today is the last day of the gold rush work we have to make a blog about three things we know about the Gold Rush. 

The first thing I learnt was that many people left their jobs to try to find gold.

The second thing I learnt was that when the first person who found gold show it and then the guy said hide it out it away.

The last thing I learnt was when miners look for gold they pan for gold in a river then move up the river to find a hill of gold. 

 

Here is a thing you can think about is that if you were in the time of the gold rush would you drop everything and look for gold.

Morse code!!!!!

Hello,bloggers Today we did Morse code. It was fun because it was pretty easy and not as hard as you think. The way that I did morse code was make a flag then me and joshua went outside and lifted up the flags that we made and then if itwas fast it was a . but if it was fast it was a -. My favorate part was makeing the flags because I just wrote "FLAG" on mine so you just know its a flag. Imagine if a contrary flag was white fabric and said "FLAG"  

The Gold Rush

Hello,bloggers this week I have been doing science and we got to shoot a POTATO CANNON. Witch was awesome because we shoot a potato so far and all you could hear was a loud FWOOMB and the the potato was gone and then we went inside to do our actual science class witch was on mars and I was cool because we played charades. How to make a phone case!!!!

Hello,bloggers last week I finished my phone case and it was fun. Now I had to blog about it and I will tell you the steps on how to make it. The app we used was Lazerworks v8 and we got sent a file of the phone case and then we had to get an image and make sure it would work in the app. Then we sent the file to our teacher and then we had to heat it and bend it in the right order to form the phone case.

Hello bloggers today we watched an episode of the history show and it was about the NZ wars and things like that.

 So thw way the wars strted was cos peple was trying to get Maori to sell thier land but they dident want to. The pakeha populaton was riseing from 2000 to 20 000 to 60 000.Then the Maori wset up a king systemso instend of iwis they had a king to rule the land. The first maori king was Potautau te wherowhero. The treaty also affected the wars because of the translation. But then this guy who was govonor grey wanted NZ land but Moari didint give it over so he wrote letters to britin and said that NZ wanted to start a war. Then they sent a lot of people to fight. But the britians killed a lot of peoplle and then the moari fought back and then that was prety much the end.

Hello,bloggers today we made a slide about mars and how you wouls survive. One of the qussetion was how would you get water and if it was safe but the water on mars is not safe to drink because of the salt in the soil and then you might die from the salt so you need filter the water and you need things like rocks and sand and charcoal to filter the water to make it safe and ther is this thing called a LifeStraw and then it filters the water whale you drink it so it would be handy to have.

Hello,bloggers today we were learning about the treaty of waitangi. Then we had to fill out a sheet but that's boring so i'm just telling you about it.

So after the wars  the population went down to 7000 to 8000. They keep getting killed from war and diseases then the best settlement was Russel. The rangatira and missionary went happy with a town so they made a plan. the treaty was nearly destroy because of water damage and rats an nearly burnt. They started the united tribes of NZ to make the town better. Then a man from France came and said he wanted to be king but then Britain went and made a treaty so they could own NZ and stop doggy trades. Then there was a company call the NZ company. Heaps of the chiefs signed the treaty. 500 singed it. But the treaty translation was wrong because they made up some words and it was all wrong and then their were more wars. The ways the moari won was by making bunkers and hiding and then shooting the Britains and then they won the war.

Hello,bloggers today we worked trough a slide about salt and it was eye opening because we had to make a list of the top 13 of the foods and the top was ham with 1000mg of salt and the average of 1500mg of salt but you don't eat a whole pack of ham so it will depend on the mount you eat and the lowest was yogurt witch surprised me because I thought that it would be high but no it was low and the risk of eating to much salt is heart decease,water weight and strokes.

Early encounters in Aotearoa

Hello,bloggers today we watched an episode of a history show and it was about when moari meet the euripeons and the first encounter was not a good one. the first explorer to o to NZ was Abel Tasman in 1642. That was the first time that moari meet other people and the moari did their normal welcoming thing but then the euipeons shot some cannons and then there was war. The next explore to go to NZ is captain cook and he brought pigs,ship mice and potatoes. Then they trade with Australia to get muskets and then the musket wars started. heaps of people died and in the end the ratio of moari and Polynesian was 40 to 1 and then the episode finished and that was pretty much all that happened

My comic book summarys

Hello,bloggers over the weekend I read two books and finished them and they were Deadpool vs Xforce and the dark knight returns (an old one that my dad used to read) and I liked it.

 Dark knight returns is about when Batman is old and retired but then he comes back to fight crime and it is awesome. It is also more mature because it has blood in it and it makes it awesome because my favorite part was when Joker went to this amusement park and it was awesome.

Deadpool vs xforce was cool because Deadpool went back in time to change time and then in a old civil war they had huge robots and lazerguns and it was crazy because there were explosion and dead pool got blown to bits but then was all good because he is Deadpool and yeah.

SUGAR

Hello, bloggers today we watched a video on sugar and it was eye opening to see what people were doing. It said things like how much we sohuld take and how much they were taking and it was insane at the end to see the improvements of the people like one of them as taking 39 teaspoons and in the end went to 1/2 teaspoon. Some things we learnt was that the max intake of sugar a day was is 6. Also it is more Heather to eat an orange than drinking orange juice. Here are three ways to stop sugar intake, 1 Buy sugar free drinks because it has well less sugar and become if you drink a sugary drink before you eat it means you eat more because the sugar can sneak in. Also look at the packaging. Here are three thing that can happen if you take to much sugar, you get type 2 diabetes,heart disease and liver disease.

Interviewing Mark

Hello,bloggers I had to write a news report about Mark form the Martian. I did  mine about the movie. It was fun because I just wrote about the movie and it was fun. My favorite part was being able to write it like a story but not a story. The other fun part was putting breaking news at the start. Why, because I can and thats the best part. Here is my news report.

Breaking news known astronaut, Mark Watney is confirmed alive. If you don’t know  the story Mark was with his crew on Mars until he got struck by debris and was presumed dead but then NASA noticed their equipment moving. They thought it was the wind but they saw a small figure moving it. Then at the last few sols on Mars the hab exploded unexpectedly ruining all of his potatoes and his hope of surveying but then the hermes was sent to Mars to rescue the lost astronaut. Then one of his crew members tried to pull him in but then the tether was too short so Mark had to puncture his suit to reach her. When Mark made it home his family was relieved that he wasn't dead. 

The martian

Hello,bloggers Last week we watched the movie the martian. It is a movie, about a guy on mars and he has to try and survive. My perdition was that he had to survive on mars. SPOILER ALERT WHOOP WHOOP past this point. You have been warned

so the movie starts with them all on mars and then Mark Watney got STABBED by a satilight uh oh he's dead!!! Then he gets up all scareded because he is stabbed. Then he gets all of theses things to grow POTATOES lite the best food to eat on mars. After a lot of Sols he went to get inside his house but his house blows up for no reason. The he goes into space and ask to fly around like Iorn Man and then he gets saved. That was the end of the movie.

Hello,Bloggers Today we watched a video called The present. It was about a dog and a boy. Then the dog gets the boy off the couch and goes play with him outside. The best part was when the dog goes to get the ball but smacks his head on the cupboard door.

My horror story

Hello,Bloggers today I made a horror story. It's called  The Pig-person, This person (Bill) goes to a house that apparently has a scary man who has a pig head but a human body. But Bill thinks its fake until he gets inside. I have only done two chapters so its a work in progress and I will probably make more into it so keep a look out for it. The best part about writing it is because you can write anything and you chose what happens and would recommend to write your own story. This is the story and not for the faint hearted but you can read it if you want.

CHAPTER ONE

It was midnight and the only thing in the rain was the old, rundown house on the hill. The Kids in the town below made up stories about a Pig-person who lives in the house and traps kids… and eats them. Bill wasn't scared of the stories. So he set out to the house with nothing but food, water and his instinct. When he reached the top of the hill he walked knowing he might not come out alive.

When he walked up to the door he knocked but nothing happened he looked through the window and the door swung open nearly knocking him over. When Bill walked in and then the door slammed shut sending a shiver down his spine. “ You can do this.” As he walked closer he heard a deep, scratchy voice. “HOW DARE YOU ENTER THIS HOUSE.” Bill jumped and then ran to a door and ran through. Then on the long dining room table he saw a gun and some rounds and grabbed it and walked to the next door ready for anything. 

CHAPTER TWO

In the next room was a strange monster mix of a human and a pig. Then the creature turned is head in anger and then Bill fired at the head. As it hit the ground with a large crash he relized it wasent going to be easy.

When he went deeper into the dark halls Bill finds a room with a box at the start and then a shot gun. Bill took it and left the room. When he tried the door nothing happened. The he shot the door and it fell to the ground and he just got out in time not to be crushed.

CHAPTER THREE

Times table chart

Hello,bloggers today I finished a times table chart. I found it challenging the further I got down. the hardes was 11x11 becouse it was 121 and it took me abit to figgure it out. Also try to challenge your self cover the ansewr an try to find it. The easiest one was the ten times tables becouse you just add a zero to the number your multiplying. Here is my slide. Emoji maths

Hello,bloggers. Last week I did emoji maths and it was fun. The goal is to find out what all the emojis mean in numbers by doing maths. I really enjoyed it because my Mum joined in and we both found it challenging but we worked trough it and really enjoyed it. The best part was doing the hard ones because it was hard and when we finally did it I felt amazing. We had some breaks when we confident figure it out but when we came back we did it. The citadel of chaos

Hello bloggers. Earlier this week me, my brother and my dad did the game book the citadel of chaos witch is a book where you chose what happens and you have to fight monsters and it is so fun, all you need is a pencil, two dice and maybe a copy of the adventure sheet because the other adventure sheet is in the actual book. The aim of the book is in the book and is different because they are all like a different adventure. We called if fake D&D because I read it to them and they chose what to do. The monster fighting is easy because one you roll and then add the monsters skill and then that's the attack. Then you roll two dice then add your skill and that's your attack damage. The highest skill is the winner and lands the attack. You can also play by yourself and its the same you read the page make the choice fight the monsters. I give it a 5 star because I enjoy the dragons and things like that so if your like me try to get your hands on one of these books. This is what the book we did looks like.  

What is a haiku

Hello,bloggers. Last week in home room class we were working on haiku's. What is a haiku you ask it is a Japanese poem. It has a syllable structure 5,7,5. It has a theme of nature. So now you know I can continue. So we had to explain what a haiku is.  Then we had to make a haiku with a picture of our choice. My one was an Alien and we had to make a haiku about it and then we had to make a screencastify about us reading our haiku. Here is my screencastify. Try to make your own haiku.

Sushi week

Hello,bloggers. Last week at cooking we were in japan to make some sushi. The first day we made sushi rolls and then we made rice balls (my favourite.) The first thing I will explain is sushi rolls. The steps are

1. Cook rice
2. Prep the veges/fillings
3. Pour sushi vinegar on rice to change the ph level
4. Flatten rice on a plate
5. Put nori on a bamboo mat
6. Put rice on nori, Don't forget to leave a 2cm gap between the top 
7. Put filling on top or rice
8. Wet tip of fingers the put on the gap of nori
9. Roll tightly
10. Enjoy!

I enjoyed it because of all the flavors blending and making a flavor explosion in your mouth. When you bite into it some of its soft and some you have to crunch depending on what you put in. If you like sushi or just want to try it make it, it's easy but you need a bamboo mat so try to get one of those before trying.

The next thing we made was rice balls, whenever we go down to the sushi shop I would ask for a rice ball. The steps to make this is

1. Cook rice
2. Prep veges/fillings
3. pour sushi vinegar on the rice
4. flatten rice on plate
5. Get some glad wrap
6. Put glad wrap on a surface not crinkled
7.  Put rice on glad wrap 
8. put toppings on top of the rice
9. pull glad wrap so in a ball
10. Tighten the ball
11. Enjoy

I enjoyed it because when you bite in you might get a chunk of rice or get some toppings but on the next bite you the all the flavors in you mouth. We also had a competition at the end and my team come second place and I was surprised by that. I liked the way that it teased you by just giving you the rice an then the toppings.  I think this is the essayist one to make and because the ingredients are usually around the house.

Athletics

Hello, Bloggers, I'm back. Last week was athletics day (Probably guessed it.) We did shot put,long jump,sprints and discus. I enjoyed shot put the most. I liked it because it was pretty easy. I like how far I threw the shot put. What sports out of them do you like the most? Have you had your athletics day yet? Another thing I enjoyed was doing the Sing Star with Joshua. We weren't really singing but screaming in the mic. Well way before that we had to do the practice for that. It was fun because it was just getting used to doing it. We also got to have an ice-block.
