Pet day--the begining

Hello, bloggers today is PET DAY. But the pets aren't here  yet but they will be here soon, but for the morning we made vegetable sculptures, the only problem Rhys and I had was we didn't have sewers when we where meant to so it was a challenge. First rhys and me had to do was get our stuff out of our cubbies and find a spot to sit. When me and rhys sat down for work we forgot that we needed sewers and we didn't have some but we worked through it with ... scissors. By cutting holes into the spot that we wanted to put it and used some force but that didn't work so I cut deeper holes into my body ( witch was a purple potato ) and then  I put it in and that worked. When it came to the legs I had cut a small hole and the legs poped out and I had to cut more deep. Erler hunter gave rhys some sewers and rhys gave me a sewer and I cut it in halve and put a pice so it could stand up and gave it a cape. The finished product looked so cool.

   

Hoked on books week number 2.

Hey, bloggers this weeks another hoked on books week but this time we did coding. We used this website called code.org. Code.org is so much fun because of the variety of projects you can do like dance party and a star wars game. My favorite one was dance party because you can change the song,the dancer and what dances they do. here's my dance party that I did it is called you are the dancer. The controls are up arrow key is floss, down is zombie, left is dab and right is fresh. You can have so much fun with this website so give it a go.

My free writing - the plane crash -

Hello, bloggers for my free write I have been writing a story called the plane crash. Its not finished yet but It will be finished and it will be awesome. When we where on the mat the teachers said we could do free writing I was thinking of what to do then I thought of doing a plane crash and survival story. The story is a chapter book and the first chapters small because it just explains what happens at the start and how he got trapped in the forest.

When you are really trapped in a forest the first three things you need are
1. find food
2. find water
3. build a shelter
After all that's done you can do other stuff like entertain your self and run around and build other stuff. But if you do get trapped in a forest before you mess around do the three main things. So here's my survival story.

Could you give me some feedback on how I can make my story better or add some things in for my story.

My maths - the new maths game -

Hello, bloggers for my maths group we learned a new math game, it`s so much fun. You will need a deck of cards, three people. To play the game you put the deck of cards upside down so you can't see them, after that you take a card from the deck and put it n your head but you can`t look at it. The person you chose to be the answer and then the person says the answer like twenty then you have to figure out what your number is. If you gusse your number before the other player you get a point then you keep doing that until you stop. 

Maths work - multiplication and division -

This week for Maths I've been doing multiplication and division. I have been working on a slide. We had to put the question in our books, then the answer, then do the next question. The thing that made it easy was to use these sticks. They make it so that it will explain division to a five year old. The thing that made it hard was not having the right amount of sticks for the next question. So you had to have the box next to you, so you could just grab the amount of sticks that you needed. I think I have improved in my maths because I've been using materials to help me. Here is the slide I have been working on. Try and do a question!

Recount - sailing trip -

Hello, bloggers we have had several trips this year, but sailing was the second best next to camp! On Friday, the second of november we went sailing on lake rua. Firstly, we got on the bus and went to Lake Rua. When we made it to lake rua, we all packed off the bus and sat down on an tarp. When the instructors came and told us how to build the boat like puting the mast and the rutor and tying a knot for the rope . After building the boat we got shown how to get speed on the boat, and how to slow down. After we where a master at getting speed, we got shown what to do if the sail came around to you. I wasn't that good at it but I still got to the side I had to.

After that we got life jackets on, so  if we fall off we don't go under the water. When we got our life jackets on we went down to the water bed to get in a boat. When it was my turn in a boat I was worried because I felt like I was going to fall out of  the boat but I only had waves hit the side of the boat. However, I nearly fell overboard!!!

After that we had lunch. When lunch was over we got to walk around and talk. After having a break we went back into the water to have another go at sailing. I had at least seven turns at sailing. Most of the time I would get stuck in one place and not be able to get out.  After getting out of the boat for the seventh time we went back took our life jackets off and took the boat apart and putting the pieces back where they came from. I can sum up the day in one word and that is extraordinary.

      

My recount - athletics day -

Hello, bloggers,  on Friday the 26th of October  it was athletics day. At the start of the day, I was nervous because  I knew that it was not going to be like practice, but it was really fun when we did it. After the event, we had to write a recount about it and I think my recount is pretty good. The class has been learning about what makes a recount and about the success criteria. I found that putting the recount in chronological order and using other time connectives apart from then. I feel like I have improved with recounts because I used language and structure. Here is my amazing recount.

my tuesday work - wearable arts -

Hello, bloggers, on Tuesdays the year 7 and 8s go to technology, and the year 5 and 6s stay at the school and do cool project work. Every term we change the project and this term is Wearable Arts, so the first thing we have to do is get into our groups. The teacher said we can be in a group of  2 or 3. So I got into a group with Eamon. After we were in our groups we had to find out what materials we had to use and our design. Eamon and I decided to make a ninja called the red X ninja. The teacher put down the materials. Eamon and I looked through the materials and found two bamboo sticks and
egg cartons. We also had to have a base to stick the stuff onto.

In week two I and Eamon looked like we had nothing but two bamboo sticks then the teacher gave us a bag that looked like a body bag but we made it work. Eamon and I cut a hole in the bottom to make leg holes then we made the armholes. then with some of the leftover fabric, we made an X to go on the chest and we painted them red. We are still doing the wearable art project until we are all finished our costume and some people are almost done with there costume and they look amazing.   

My writing - long write -

Hello, bloggers, On Friday I did a recount long write and it was based o a video called taking flight. We got to chose if we where the kid or the granddad/grandpa I chose the kid and I found it so easy because the granddad you have to do more stuff then the kid. I got three paragraphs down and it was good. here is my writing:

One bright Sunday morning, I had to go to grandpas house for the day.  I thought It will be boring because
he only knows how to do grown-up stuff but when we got them I had to wait on a box. Then I saw
something that caught my eye. It looked like an old photo. Then I grabbed some boxes and climbed up
to the top. But then I fell down the grandpa came in and he saw that I had a wagon beside me and then
before I knew it I was in the wagon going down the sidewalk.

Than grandpa told me about some escaped zoo monkeys than I heard a monkey noise than a lot more.
As we where running we had to go in a bout but the water had crocodiles in it. After we got past th
e crocodiles we were heading to a waterfall and fast. But to my surprise, we had gone down and then we
were in a plane. Then we were flying over the city. But we had ran out of gas then we  had to jump
we had to jump out but by the time I heard him he was already halfway out of the plane. I jumped out of
the plane and when I was ready I pulled the rope the release my parachute.

Then at the park grandpa was talking about aliens than a ray came and zapped the swings when
I looked up I chould see aliens. Then I   into the spaceship that I had to zap all the aliens But than the
mothership came but then I heard a car stop than my dad came out and asked me why we were so dirty
than I got n the car and went home.

My novle study - reading -

Hello, bloggers, on Monday we got our books for novel study. My book had 13 chapters and 64 pages. We have a whole slide to do until we can do some fun activities like make a diorama and do some drawings and stuff like that. I have finished my novel already but I still have to do all the authors facts and when they started writing. The slide has got a lot of while you read and early, mid and end book activities. The title of the book is ¨ Surfing the future " and its weird the way the author has written some of the words and sentences. I liked how the book did not stay on one subject for too long so it makes it short and snappy.

The website I used to make my flip book was flipsnack. Give it a try because you can make an amazing story even better. The front cover picture was made on flipsnack because it has 126 different shapes. This story is the second narrative I ever done so I hope you enjoy.

My writing - narrative post test -

Hello, bloggers, today I did my narrative post-test. I was so fun to write the draft and planning to make the story on track and not of in different ways. My story was about a spaceman going around the milky way trying to fix mars because of a bomb explosion. But my story isn't finished yet. In my story, there are dragons, a black dotted planet ( you will find out what is on the planet when I finished my story. ) So here it is.

Somewhere in space in the year 2029, there was a spaceman by the name of matt. Matt was a brave man he had faced many challenges like space spiders and aliens. One day this all changed. This is this is the story of matt. After a successful mission of sneaking into enemy mothership one three nine eight ane getting planes for the aliens next attack, the commander said ¨ Matt get to mars now before it's too late “. As Matt ran to his ship and got to mars there was a huge explosion.

Then on the radio matts commander said ¨ do you remember the fight from two centuries age ¨ than matt replied ¨ yeah I do why are you asking ¨ Than the commander replied with ¨ well they put a bomb in mars but they must have accidentally put it on the year 2029 and it blew up right now ”  than static came on then the commander said ¨ huge chunks of mars got to different planets and through the milky way ¨ than matt replied ¨ on it ¨ so fast that the commander couldn't say are you on it.

When watt went to the Saturn but as he landed he released a loud growl. It was a space dragon that was on the planet and it was in front of a piece of mars. Matt got out his gun got a tranquilizer dart but look at what it said on it and the one he grabbed was one century instead of three minutes and when Matt shoot the dragon it went to sleep instantly. Then he called his commander to ask how he was going to pick the piece of mars up than a huge robot suit came down than matt jumped in the suit than it turned on ¨ system activate ¨ than matt grabbed the piece of mars than put it where mars went.

Then the commander said ¨ that was the only planet that had a piece of mars on it, now you have to go through the milky way and our tracker won't be in range, so good luck ¨  when Matt went through the milky way things got weird. The first planet matt went to had black spots on it. When he landed on the planet he saw a line of red dust.

My reading work - the kookaburra -

Hello bloggers, this week for reading I have been working on the kookaburra activities. The first activity I did was ¨ make a poster/advert/ youtube ad ¨ but I chose to do a poster. I did it on draw.io and it is fun and easy as pie and by easy as pie I mean it's easy as pie. Go try it out sometime and if you have never used draw.io before I promise you that you will like it.

My reading - what a cassowary dose when its fels cornered

Hello bloggers, this week in reading I´ve been reading about the Cassowary. Did you know that the cassowary is the most dangerous  bird in the world? I would not want to have this bird as a pet. I did an activity about what a cassowary does when it´s cornered. What happens in the slide is not really what happens when a cassowary rams you.

My maths - algebra

Hello, bloggers, this week in maths I have been working on algebra in my maths. You may think its hard but I think its easy when you get hang of it then its so easy. When I first saw it I thought it was going to be so hard well it was but not as hard as I thought. But who would have had the idea to put numbers and letters together?

When I woke up this morning I went to my backyard and I saw my dog barking at something,
when I went around the corner I saw it a pile of rubbish and it was our rubbish. I think the garbage truck got full and all of the rubbish went flying everywhere because when I looked over the fence all of the neighbors had a huge hill of rubbish too. When I looked to my left neighbor he was starting to dig a hole well that's going to take a long time. I went to get the shovel but by the time I got them I remembered when I
used it broke.

I dashed to the shovel store but the man said ¨ sorry we are all out ¨.
When it got out of the store the wind was whooshing and that meant that the rubbish was flying.
When I looked up I saw all the rubbish flying to the beach and I saw a bird going to a plastic bag.
so I dashed to the tree and got the bag before the bird could get to it. When I was done with the bird,
I dashed to the beach to find a lot of rubbish in the water so I went in with a splash.  

When I was in the water I was splashing around grabbing the rubbish out. But there was a turtle going to a plastic bag I swam as fast as I could.
I grabbed the bag before turtle than the turtle swam the other way then I went to the garbage truck place and said ¨send more trucks out at a time¨ than from that point on there were three trucks at a time.
Then I dug a hole with my old shovel because the old shovel was a toy shovel so I dug a hole.
Then I put water in than I had just made a free pool.

Then my dog had jumped in and made an big splash and got my face wet.
So I splashed him back then he went to the other side
but kicked so much water at my face I got the hose and put it on spray and hit him with so much water.
When I looked at my neighbor he was still digging a hole by the time he was done he saw
no rubbish the filling up the hole.       

My reading work - the cassowary

Hello, bloggers for this week of my reading work I was working on activates for the text I was reading this week the cassowary and I made a poster for a zoo that had the cassowary. It was so much fun to make, my favorite part was to try to make it as real as possible because it is fake but it's still fun to make because you get to make prices, warnings, to do and not to do. Altogether my favorite part is when you draw the cassowary and the warning signs. I hope you like my poster and if you want to give it a go is a computer/tablet, pens paper, and ideas.

my speech

Hello, bloggers, this is my speech for 2018. It's about why graffiti should be considered art. It took me a few days to complete it. It has some facts about pop art and other stuff like that. I hope you enjoy it.  For me, the scariest thing is when you get up in front of everyone because you are 50%  like yeah let's do this but by the time you get up your 50% nooooo.

my math post

This week for math I and my math group did this slide that we all had to make a copy of it. we all had to work on it and go down the ink line then blue then purple. It was pretty hard but if you want to try it I put the slide on. but the hardest thing about it was all the problems you had to think really hard and the easiest thing about it was it was kind of easy with the first two problems but give it a go. The math skill I had to use was column math.

My Term 2 reflection sheet

My challenge was not being able to sit next to kade or Rhys because I not used to not talking on the mat
for ten or fifteen minutes but I got used to it my other challenge and to get work done so I don't do it a reward time.

I am proud of my writing this term because it is easier to get 250 words and have the feeling
of  being free and going out to break with kade and Rhys to do things that are so much fun
that we just have fun with like digging in the sandpit like radome people who don't know how to dig.

I have shown my hero qualities on the mat kind of for not talking on the mat so much and outside
by doing stuff like playing with kade and Rhys and having fun because we make games up than
play them then have fun.

What has not gone well for me was being separated from kade and Rhys on the mat and when we work
because we talk too much about radome stuff and don't get our work done and we have to do it in
reward time.

Next term I want to work on my math and working hard and long for fifteen minutes for long hard work so my reward  time starts so much faster so can do something fun so I can make some stuff and do some stuff and so when I go home I can have the feeling of yes I got my reward.

How dangerous is it

It will swipe its claw at anyone it sees,
