Today in science we used a microscope to look at an onion epidermis. First, we had to make a slide to put the onion on so we got the thin onion epidermis and then stained it with iodine. Then we had to look through the lens and then we had to move the scope to see it better. When we did that it looked like a brick wall. I was crazy that something that big had small things in it. Here is a picture of onions and the epidermal cell.
I am a student at in Uru MÄnuka. In 2020 I was a year 7 and in 2021 I will be a year 8. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. A great description of what you did Toby. Microscopes can be fun as you can see detail you cant see with normal vision. I like the photo of the cells as it shows the readers what you saw.
