Impasto

 Impasto is a type of art that you use thick strokes so that you can see the texture on the paper. Van Gogh used it for famous art. 
What does the word impasto mean? Mixture is the meaning of Impasto.





How can impasto brushstrokes express emotions? Because you can add thickness to certain places.



Was Van Gogh one of the first painters to use the impasto technique? Yeah, he was a pioneer.

    Hi Toby, Thanks for trying to post your Impasto research. It is difficult to read. Can your check your formatting before you publish? The word Impasto means something else than what is visible above. It does involve mixture in some instances. Could you explain based on your experience with the palette knife and the brush?
