Money

hello, my good sirs. today in wga we are learning about why some people get paid less than other people. The main reasons are the jobs like if you work at McDonald's you are not going to get as much as some good athlete. The jobs that are harder and rarer to do get paid more because of the stuff they have to do.

The Holiday

The last two weeks were the school holidays and we could do what we wanted and I played PlayStation every day. I played a bit of Minecraft servers because I'm an epic pro gamer. I played with my friends most days. This is a list that I made to show you the different things.

I played with my friends a lot on Minecraft. We played egg wars and lost most of the time but we sweated and died. We played lucky blocks and lost. We lost a lot of our matches but still played because we had nothing else to do.

The only physical thing I really did was got food walked around the house and went to the toilet. I would get some food around ten and then go back to playing with the boys. We played a little bit of Fortnite creative and duos because why not.

During the holidays I started a Minecraft world with my brothers so we can play the same game so we all made a house. Then we dug a hole for the PvP fight and we called it the PVP pit. I destroyed my brothers in and out of the pvp pit.

The best part was getting up and waiting for my Dad to say we could play and then we did nothing else for the whole day. I was on the Ps5 or Ps4 depending on the day. Depending on the console I would play whatever the boys wanted to play.

When I would play Minecraft I would go to the nether to get the ender pearls and try to find the fortress. But I died a lot of time and then I was sad. But I would go back and go along with my day.

When my friends weren't on I would play servers by myself I played Lucky Blocks and I got a solo win by running because there are too many sweaty players. I got some decent loot and I think the last player fell off the map and then I got my first (and only) win.

Jane Addams

Today we were learning about Jane Addams who helped poor people by giving them somewhere to live and learn to cook and things like that. Heaps of people went there because they needed the basic things in life. Here are the questions we had to do.

  • She Didn't actually build the house

  • She is rich

  • She wanted to help people

  • When she saw poor people she wanted to help

  • Her dad died

  • She paid rent then got it for free

Why did you want to build a house

Why did you give away a pair of underwear

When did you decide to build a house

How many people did you take care of

What year did you start the house

Year 1 She was born

Year 6 Saw poor people and wanted to help

Traveled to London

Her dad died

Started the house in Chicago to help people

Built a playground

Then he held a competition and then he go kids to grow plants. Ping couldn't grow it because they cooked the seed and then he showed the emperor and the emperor liked his courage and made Ping the emperor. The other kids had cheated and other seeds. Fiji win gold

Fiji rugby sevens won a match of rugby sevens on Wednesday (NZ time) beating New Zealand. They were in tears at the last whistle and then chanting their national anthem for the second gold win. It was a closer match than the British match. This match was 27 to 12 and the other was 43 to 7.

cometment

Today we are learning about commitment and how we are showing commitment throughout the year. I think that I am about half on the thumb scale. The different spaces we can show commitment are outside in the class and moving through the class. I think I could work focusing on the task. I think I find using my Chromebook the hardest because I can go on different sites.

Art

In art, we made a lino block print for our personal logo. I made mine based on the PS logo because I like PS. I enjoyed cutting the block to make the picture. I made it black and white because I felt like it and it was my first one of the batch. Here is the picture and some of my hands. In my opinion, the ink went onto it really well. Is there anything else I can do to make this look good.

Hands on fire!!

*Warning: do not try this at home*

Today we put our hands on fire and it was cool because it was safe but we were also on fire. Everyone's second turn was the bigger one because they knew what it was going to be like. The second one for mine I grabbed most of the bubbles and then Mr. Stock used the lighter then the flame jumped up and then would go out. I enjoyed it but it was weird to have your body on fire. We had to line up and have safety goggles on and we had to wet our hands and then get the bubbles and then the fire blew up.

2050

Hi, bloggers today I am gonna discuss what will 2050 be like. I think that it won't be that much different from now but gas will be more expensive than it is now. The cars might look different but are basically the same except because they might be electric and have to charge at home. Buildings might look different because of space and resources. There might be more apartments instead of houses. Food might look and be different from fast food. Our idea is to make a car that runs off screams so it saves gas but anyone else in the car would not have a good ride. The way it works is that there is a built-in iPad that plays a video and then goes flat then the kids scream to power the iPad and then that goes into the car to make the car have the power to go and then charges the iPad then it repeats that prosses.

Using a microscope

Today in science we used a microscope to look at an onion epidermis. First, we had to make a slide to put the onion on so we got the thin onion epidermis and then stained it with iodine. Then we had to look through the lens and then we had to move the scope to see it better. When we did that it looked like a brick wall. I was crazy that something that big had small things in it. Here is a picture of onions and the epidermal cell.

Taste and smell

This term we have been testing if you can find out a flavor without seeing it or smelling it. The first one we did was the lollies. First, we had to get the colors and then one person had to hand it for us then we put it in our mouths. Some of the flavors we had were hard to taste
